The National Society of Colonial Dames of America, a patriotic nonprofit organization founded in 1891, purchased the house in 1928. They preserved the mansion and adapted it for their headquarters. In 1932, the organization began a major restoration project to return the house to what it originally looked like when it was built.Dumbarton House is still the headquarters of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. The house is also a museum that features artifacts from the 1700s and 1800s.
Dwarven house
The entrance to Autumn's Bells can be found in this central chamber. Unlike most quests added by Creation Club, this one does not automatically begin upon installing Forgotten Seasons. Instead, you must travel to the entrance of Runoff Caverns, which will already be marked on your map. Outside, you will find a "Broken Dwarven Horse", a metallic Dwarven torso lying partially submerged in a stream. Activate this object to begin the quest, which will task you with assembling the pieces to reconstruct this strange equine construct.
Nchuanthumz Manufactory
Dwarven houses consist of three rooms - the spacious upper room, which is accessed directly via the front door, and a kitchen and bedroom below, which are smaller and accessed by stairs on the left and right sides of the house. These houses are primarily made with Dwarven bricks and stone bricks, accented with wooden paneling, which can be spruce, larch, fir, or pine. Much of the time, these houses spawn a few blocks into the mountainside, and when this happens a small three-block-wide tunnel generates in front of the door, which is easy to spot.
Friends of Hollyhock House (FOHH)
Hollyhock House features an entertainment room immediately to the right of the entrance. This room contains possibly the first built-in entertainment center, complete with LP-sized cabinets along the floor. Other notable rooms include a child's play area as well as a modernist kitchen, which long housed the museum gift shop. Opening the door of a Dwarven house for the first time can grant the player the achievement "Mellon", provided they have not interacted with player-made Dwarven doors before. Three buttons on the console in front of Artifacts serve different purposes during restorations.
Dwarven House - Fantasy Building
Pressing either the left or right button once will summon the Dwarven Sphere Overseer, while the central button revives the Manufactory with a grinding of gears as the house shakes. The Dwarven Sphere Overseer will emerge from the scuttle on the right side of the room. Follow the Dwarven Sphere Overseer and give it the repair parts by interacting with it.
Dwarven houses can be found all across the Iron Hills, where the Dwarven population is more scattered and rural than the one at Erebor. They generate in the sides of mountains, their entrances blending in with the stone. This can make them hard to spot, especially during the day; at night, the ithildin in their Dwarven Doors glows, but even then this only happens when players get close enough. On the tables to the left and right of Artifacts are several Cogs, Actuators, and units of Dwarven Oil that you can gather to meet the requirements of the next quest objective. Soul Gems, Ruined Books, two bowls, and a tankard are also present in this room.
The inner wall features a weapon rack and two item frames; the former always boasts a Dwarven or Dalish weapon or tool, while the item frames can contain the same, a piece of Dwarven or Dalish armour, or a random loot item. Next to the stairs are a pair of Dwarven beds located next to each other, at the head of which is another large chest, this one containing assorted Dwarven loot, such as weapons or equipment, food, torches, coal or ingots, and other such items. The kitchen is located down the stairway to the left (facing the fireplace), and is smaller and entirely torch-lit. An alcove in the wall opposite the furnaces features two barrels, which contain either Dwarven ale or Dwarven tonic, while an alcove under the stairs boasts a large chest full of food.

As with many of Wright's residences, Hollyhock House has an "introverted" exterior with windows that seem hidden from the outside, and is not easy to decode from the outside. The house is arranged around a central courtyard with one side open to form a kind of theatrical stage (never used as such), and a complex system of split levels, steps and roof terraces around that courtyard. Water is meant to flow from a pool in the courtyard through a tunnel to this inside moat, and out again to a fountain. Dwarven Houses are the small, one-family homes of the Dwarves of the Iron Hills. These underground houses are scattered throughout the Iron Hills, built into the sides of the mountains they call home. These houses are partly hidden, accessible only via Dwarven Doors, which look identical to stone.

Quest Stages
An interesting feature is the mitered glass corners at the windows; an early idea Wright later used at Fallingwater. To the left of the entrance hall, a closed door leads to what was once the smithy, in the southeast (front right) corner of the house. Three bandits are present and have laid down bed rolls on the floor.
Much like Hobbit holes, Dwarven houses are a great source of food. The table in the upper room, the kitchen below, and the chests contain copious amounts of meat, bread, and booze. The bedroom also typically contains Dwarven or Dalish weapons and armour, as well as miscellaneous Dwarf loot. Each dwarven house also contains two mostly-full barrels and a host of utility blocks. The main room is dominated by a table with food and a roaring fireplace.
On entering, you will be given the objective to access the Nchuanthumz Manufactory. You will have to walk all the way to the back of the house, defeating the Skeevers as you go, to reach the lift that brings you to your objective. Bringing the Manufactory back online will allow you to renovate and furnish the house. Nchuanthumz is a Dwarven player home in Eastmarch, north of Kagrenzel.
We have in-house painters who stay very busy with all of our paint requests. If you would like a quote on something painted, please send us a message. When you first enter Nchuanthumz, it is a badly neglected Dwarven Ruin strewn with cobwebs and infested by Skeevers.
Heading south from here (back towards the entrance), you will pass through another room with some stone tables and a divider. The door to the smithy is closed, giving you an extra barrier against the three bandits. Nchuanthumz is an incredibly spacious underground home that comes with many amenities when fully furnished. However, it is left to you to restore the house to its former glory.
These doors are inlaid with Ithildin, however, which makes them easier to find at night. Further ahead from the entrance hall, a Skeever already lies dead. The hallway turns left and then right again before the next set of doors. The next room is vacant apart from a shallow bathing pool on the left that is fed by a working fountain; this will become the children’s room. Should you take the opened hallway, you will pass a stone table on the right and go through another opened doorway, leading to a room north of the smithy with even thicker cobwebs. A trio of Skeevers lives here and will attack you once they detect you.
If you head back north, you will open the door to the master bedroom. The double bed is in fact functional, but another Skeever lurks down the hall to the left so you will likely not get any sleep just yet. The way to the manufactory is to go towards the Skeevers and back to the western (left-hand side) of the house to continue on.
Each Dwarven house is inhabited by one male and one female Dwarf, both married to the other. If you stay for some time near a house, Dwarf children may spawn as well. While male Dwarves are common enough, these houses are the only places in Middle-earth where you can encounter Dwarf women and children. If you talk to the lady of the house, you'll earn the achievement "Spot the Difference".
